A HERBAL PREPRATION TO TAKECARE OF RETAINED YOLK OMPHALITIS PROBLEMS IN CHICKS
This diease is seen during 1st week of life of chicks.When chick develops from eggs, its yolk is utilized for development of chick. However when the eggs are contaminated or there is disturbance in temperature or humidity in the incubator, part of yolk remains inside the stomach of chick and bacteria multiply in it leading to death of chicks during first 2-4 days of its age. It is also called omphalitis Later it may lead to problem of colibacillosis or septicaemia. It causes losses during week of chicks life. Many antibiotics are given for its treatment but still problem continues and there is development of resistance for these antibiotics. Therefor the safe way to treat/prevent further losses is by giving OCE YOLK for 2-3 Days during 1′ week.
Usage:- 10-15 ml 100 chicks during first 2-3 days in drinking water. May use OCENEPH along with OCE YOLK for better result.
